No. Your files are processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing is ever sent to our servers. This is our core privacy promise.

No. We have zero access to your files. The processing happens locally on your device. We don't store, log, or transmit any of your data.

Yes. Since all processing is client-side, even sensitive financial or personal data never leaves your computer. However, always follow your organization's data handling policies.

We use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics (Vercel Analytics) to understand general usage patterns. We do not use advertising cookies or sell any data.

When you drop a file, JavaScript reads it directly in your browser. Our repair algorithms analyze and fix the data locally, then generate a new downloadable file—all without any network requests.

There's no hard limit, but very large files (100MB+) may be slower depending on your device's memory and processing power. For best performance, we recommend files under 50MB.

Since processing is local, closing the browser will stop the operation. Your original file remains safe, but you'll need to start over. For large files, keep the tab open until completion.

Currently, most tools process one file at a time. For merging multiple CSVs, use our "Merge CSV Files" tool which accepts multiple file uploads.

It repairs common CSV issues like unescaped quotes, inconsistent delimiters, broken line endings, ragged rows (uneven column counts), and removes invisible control characters.

Yes! Use the "Detect & Fix Delimiter" tool. It automatically identifies semicolons, tabs, pipes, or other separators and converts them to standard comma format.

Yes. The "Fix CSV Encoding" tool converts files to standard UTF-8 and can add BOM markers for Excel compatibility. This fixes common issues like "é" appearing instead of "é".

Yes! We have dedicated tools for platform-specific imports. These tools validate headers, fix date formats, and ensure compatibility with each platform's requirements.

Yes. The "Split Huge CSV" tool breaks large files into smaller chunks by row count. Each chunk includes headers, and you can download all parts as a ZIP file.

First, ensure the file is a valid text-based CSV (not a binary Excel file). Try the "CSV Diagnostic" tool to identify specific issues. If problems persist, try opening in a text editor to check for corruption.

Some files have complex or unusual problems. Try using multiple tools in sequence (e.g., Fix Encoding → Fix Quotes → Fix Malformed). If issues persist, contact us with details about the problem.

PunkFix never modifies your original file. The download is a new, fixed copy. Your original remains untouched, so you can always start over if needed.
